November 2012

In November, my mom took some new family pictures of me and my girls. They turned out so cute. Hadlee was less than thrilled to help out with smiling and such nonsense, but we got some good pictures anyway. Here are a billion of my favorite.

It was election year, and yes, I voted. Wish the outcome had been different, but here's hoping some good comes out of the next four years.

Sean and I went to the final installment of the Twilight Saga on pre-opening night, which was the 15th. I loved it. He tolerated it because he loves me. But we had a good time!

The girls were with Hunter on Thanksgiving, so Sean and I spent Thanksgiving with his parents. We hosted at Sean's house and cooked a delicious meal. Sean outdid himself with the turkey/stuffing. It was amazing. Just thinking about it now is making me want to eat it again! Before we stuffed ourselves, we went and saw the new James Bond movie, Skyfall. And I have to admit, I actually liked it. I didn't think I would, but I did.

Sean and I started our Black Friday shopping on Thanksgiving evening. I'm not proud of that fact, but it happened. Something I needed was on sale at 8pm, so we went and waited in line. We shopped a long time. Sean had to get to bed for work the next morning, but I shopped basically all night long. I got a nap or two in, but it wasn't enough rest. However, it is one of my favorite days of the year, so it was worth it. And I'm grateful it only comes once a year!!

On the 29th, we did our gingerbread house making FHE with Sean at his house. It is one of our Christmas traditions, but with the way the dates fell this year, we had to start in November! The girls loved it and tried to eat the candies faster than we could use them. Here are some pictures.

The Rest of October 2012

I'm awful at blogging. I'm not sure what happened, I used to blog all the time. But I just don't anymore. But I feel like I should document the end of last year, before it is completely erased from my memory. Or even worse, replaced by the end of this year. Is it just me or is time flying by?!
So...I believe I'm in October...

Not only did we celebrate birthdays, we also celebrated Fall and Halloween. We went to a pumpkin patch/festival on October 12. We went with Leslie and the boys, and my mom, and the Gueller kids. We had a lot of fun, except that it rained/snowed on us while we were dragging our pumpkins through the patch. But it was fun and the kids loved it. Keelia rode a pony which is HUGE for her and Hadlee sat on one like she was being tortured. My kids are big animal lovers, can't you tell? :) Here are some pictures from the outing.

On October 27, we went to our ward Trunk-or-Treat. Keelia was a witch and Hadlee was a butterfly-fairy-princess. They were both darling and had a lot of fun getting candy. Hadlee had so much that evening, that she proceeded to eat M&M's off the floor like a puppy. We died laughing.

On The 28th, the girls and I went to Colorado Springs with Sean and his boys to see almost all of his family. We had a big family dinner and they took family pictures and it was really fun to get to meet and see most of his family. There were lots of kids, so it was great for the girls. We missed being at my family's orange dinner, but it's hard to be at everything with two families!

On the 29th, we carved pumpkins for FHE at Sean's house. We got Jack-o-lantern pizza from Papa Murphy's. Ian stopped by to say hi. We had a fun time. Here are some pictures. Orange is NOT my color.

On Halloween, Keelia had her program/party at preschool. She did a great job singing her songs and it was fun to get to be a part of her class for the day. My mom came to her party and so did Sean. We went to Chipotle for dinner on Halloween. They were running a special for people in costumes. And then we went Trick-or-Treating in our neighborhood with my mom, Marshall, Meagan, and Mark. It was a pretty fun Halloween. Here is a picture of Keelia at her school program.

Hadlee's 2nd Birthday

My sweet Hadlee turned 2 last month, too! October is a busy month for our little family. But I love that my girl's birthdays are so close together. Hadlee's birthday fell on a Sunday, so we had the family over for a Mickey Mouse dinner party for her. We had birthday doughnuts, opened presents, and got ready for church. After a nice nap, we had dinner and cake with the family. Hadlee loves Mickey and Minnie Mouse, loves animals (especially: monkeys, kitties, puppies, elephants, and cows. The noises are the best!) She loves shoes and sleeps in them often. She wears a tutu whenever she can find one and loves having a purse. Her vocabulary is multiplying by the day, but her favorite word is "no." I am so very lucky to be Hadlee's mom. She is so spunky and is a little dare devil. She challanges me and loves me like no one else. Happy birthday, sweet baby girl. Here is how we celebrated.

Keelia's 5th Birthday

I'm not sure how it happened, but my darling Keelia turned 5 last month. I can hardly believe it. She is the sweetest, most caring, sassiest little 5 year old I know. I am so grateful to be her mom. She is my little buddy and helper. We are so much a like, it is scary. But I love her and I am so proud of the person that she is. I'm not 5 anymore, but I would venture to say that she had a fantastic birthday. We had birthday doughnuts for breakfast. Her daddy brought her flowers. We opened presents. We had a Barbie birthday at Chuck E. Cheese for lunch with some of her friends from school and church. And we had McDonald's for dinner with Sean. We got to hang out and play all day. It was pretty great.
Keelia likes Barbies, and dance. She is still taking ballet and tap and loves it. She loves playing with friends and has the best imagination. She is the best big sister and is constantly caring for Hadlee, whether it's welcomed or not. She really is the best 5 year old I know! Here are some pictures from the day.
